King Demands Answers on Decision to Bring KSM to New York andCurrent Plans ot SecureAreaAround Trial

(November 19, 2009) — Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security and fellow Homeland Republicans introduced a Resolution of Inquiry, which directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to turn over any and all information on the decision to move the Khalid Sheikh Mohammed trial to New York City.  Additionally, King sent a letter to AG Holder after the head of the Federal Protective Service, the agency tasked with securing the area around the KSM trial, admitted during testimony that FPS does not have the resources necessary to provide security during the trial.

(November 13, 2009) - Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security called the Obama Administration's plans to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other members of al Qaeda, "an outrage," and "extremely dangerous for New York City and America."

King Measure to Restore Nuclear Detection to New York Area Passes House
(June 24, 2009) - Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security hailed passage of his amendment that would restore funding to the Securing the Cities program, a partnership between federal, state and local authorities to prevent nuclear and radiological terrorists in the New York metropolitan area.  The amendment, coauthored by Rep. Yvette Clark (D-NY) passed the House by a vote of 282-148.
